New RASCOM’s Route from St. Petersburg to the State Border with Finland

RASCOM has implemented a new DWDM system on the section Saint Petersburg – the state border with Finland on the new route, which is geographically diverse to the route of RASCOM’s own cable on this section of the network that passes along the ground work.

It is the fourth DWDM system on this most highly used section of RASCOM network that is connecting Russian Federation with Europe. Overall service capacity of these four systems on this section of the network is 56 Tbps now.

“Notwithstanding tough current political and economic environment around the world and, in particular, in our country, RASCOM keeps successfully implementing its services, moreover, we continue developing our network on a scheduled basis,” Denis Ganza, CEO of CJSC RASCOM, comments on, “This stage of the plan is targeted in ensuring the provision of services to RASCOM’s customers within the company’s network by using various routes in order to increase the reliability of the services on this section of the network.”
